We are in love. And we are dying.
Our only affliction is our mortality.
But it will take us nonetheless…
And because somehow we cannot turn away
from the approach of this unimaginable
parting, we have been engaged in a grand
and painstaking project over the past
five years. It is a book of 365 essays
written to the one who survives the
other’s death. Even though we expect
that the one of us who lives would find
little consolation in the midst of such
deep sorrow, the purpose of this work
is to reach past our mortal divide and
encourage "the survivor" to heal, and to
nurture their barest desire to live
toward a new passion.
Though the subject of each piece is
ponderous, the words are life affirming
and expansive.
"Becoming Eternal" was written purely
for one of us. But recently, we have
been inspired to share a selection of
its essays with anyone else who may be
intrigued or touched by the idea. So
if you are interested, we welcome you
to click on one of the links below.
In fact, we would be honored.
